Thought I would share some great quotes from this afternoons study.
From The Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes (p. 186)
"Never look at that which you do not wish to experience. No matter what the false condition may be, it must be refuted. The proper kind of denial is based upon the recognition that, in reality, there is no limitation, for Mind can easily make a planet as an acorn. The Infinite knows no difference between a million dollars and a penny. It only knows that IT IS."
and from page 159...the importance of keeping our faith in the direction of our good even if not especially when doubt reveals itself. "Not only must we have complete faith in Spirit, and Its ability to know and to do, but we must have complete confidence in our approach to It. We must not be lukewarm in our conviction. WE must know that we know. WE are to demonstrate that spiritual thought force has power over all apparent material resistance, and this cannot be done unless we have abounding confidence in the Principle which we approach."
Humbled by the thought that we have been "trained unknowingly" to reason our life around the basic idea that our Good is something ever absent from us that we have to get or somehow make ourselves worth of...geesh. From Emma Curtis Hopkins in a book titled Scientific Christian Mental Practice "Having been trained for years to reason your life out on the basis of Good being absent from you, you now begin to reason from an entirely different basis. You judge not by appearances, but by righteousness. Many conditions slip away almost instantaneously."
"...evil is a way of believing and not omnipotent." E.C. Hopkins
"It is not to the seeming failures of your life you must look for your reputation among the angels of light, but to the purpose you have held." ~E.C. Hopkins
